The Next Fitness Revolution… Swinging!
The Next Fitness Revolution… Swinging!
Plus: The Swinger's Diet!

We live in a society that is “diet” obsessed. The majority of the population is on a constant body mass index roller coaster as their willpower fades and strengthens. In reality, it could almost be said that the secret to the perfect diet and fitness plan is not in the nutritional, pharmaceutical, or physiological attributes, but in the psychological. If anyone is going to be successful at any long term fitness solution, they have to find a way to stay motivated over a long period of time. With the above statement acting as my guidance, I say the absolute best way to long term health and fitness is regular sexual activity with a large variety of people. (No pun intended).

Most men have been motivated by the prospect of sex since their first erection as young man. Boys learn very quickly in their social and sexual maturation process that the better they present themselves to the opposite sex, the more likely they are to get some attention from the fairer gender. This increased attention betters their odds of “getting some”. This may sound a little non-chivalrous, and certainly doesn’t address the multiple other aspects of the male views of the male/female interaction, but it is a natural behavior we share with most other species.

“Running around partially (or fully) naked
in front of lots of other sexy people is always
good motivation to stay in shape.”

The motivation for females in the sexual arena is much more complicated. As I am not a woman, I deferred this question to Mrs. Gentlenibbles. Her response, “The healthier I feel; the more confident I am, which allows me be more relaxed and have more fun.” Running around partially (or fully) naked in front of lots of other sexy people is always good motivation to stay in shape. Every summer millions of vanilla women are motivated to get in shape for swimsuit season. Well, for women in the swinging lifestyle, swimsuit (or birthday suit) season is all year long!

Sex is a great form of exercise...

A world of sexy lifestylers provide their own motivation…

Often, after several years of marriage, the motivation of a person to keep physically fit relaxes. Contrary to what some might think, this in not necessarily due to a lack of interest in your spouse, but rather the opposite. The security and comfort that a healthy marriage provides, naturally reduces the motivational pathways discussed above. If a peacock no longer needs to attract a mate, then why bother with the fancy feathers? As a husband, my sex life has much less to do with my physical appearance, and as a wife you obviously become very comfortable with being seen by your husband. How many times have you seen a friend or coworker suddenly drop weight and begin taking better care of themselves after a divorce. They have suddenly rediscovered that previously lost motivation to attract a mate.

The point of all this is that swingers have hit the mother-load of post-marital fitness motivation! The thought of being involved in a sexually charged environment on the weekend, is usually more than enough motivation for Mrs. Gentlenibbles and I to work harder on maintaining our bodies during the week. In fact, both of us have lost weight and greatly increased our regular exercise regime since entering the lifestyle.

Outlined below is Kasidie’s very own diet and fitness plan to help you get started. Throw in some fantastic sexual scenarios with lots of beautiful people and you have found a recipe for a healthier lifestyle. Not to mention all the fun you get to have as well!

The Swinger’s Diet

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, many of us may be looking at our bathroom scale with dread. Most of us in the lifestyle are pretty image conscious. We envy those physiological freaks who can eat whatever they want, not exercise, yet still retain perfect bodies. Can we normal-folks do anything to improve ourselves a bit, given the work, family, time and stress limitations of our daily lives?

Yes, there is!

First, Diet Programs Don’t Work
All carb, all protein, all fruit, all vegetarian, all whatever, do this, do that… every concept has a thick book filled with success stories and experts extolling the virtues with scientific explanations about how THIS diet is THE diet. I don’t know about you, but I never really even read the whole book, let alone follow through with counting calories or points, or cooking the special recipes. Plus, they just give me too much to try and think about, which makes it really stressful and causes me to cheat on it and quickly stop doing it.

Diet drugs don't work as well as swinging!

Second, Diet Drugs Don’t Work
Ever notice how every diet drug advertisement says “when used in conjunction with changes to your diet and regular exercise you will lose weight!” Wow, really? No kidding! This statement, when translated, means ”save your money and don’t waste it on our wonder pills”.

Start – Doctors Orders
Before dieting or exercising, check with your doctor. Make sure you are cleared medically before trying the Swingers Diet, or any other diet or exercise. Period.

and now… The Swingers Diet!
How can you lose body fat and weight, while toning your body? Simply put; eliminate starches, cut sweets, reduce carbs and increase exercise. A little goes a long way. Follow these simple guidelines, be patient, and in 30 days you will see a reduction in both body fat and weight. You will see better results the closer you stick to

Try to Eliminate These From Your Diet Completely…
  Anything containing High-Fructose Corn Syrup
Processed Foods (If it contains ingredients you can’t buy individually, don’t eat it!)
Bread (all types, even whole wheat).
Rice (all types, even brown rice)
  Pasta
Tortillas (all types, including corn and flour)
Potatoes (all, regardless of how they’re cooked)
  Pizza
  Crackers
Chips (even baked or air dried)
  Soft drinks
  Non-Organic Fruit juices
Beer (switch to clear alcohol like Vodka or Tequilla)
Cereals (all, even natural or organic ones)
  Sweets (chocolate, cookies, etc)
  Ice cream
  Cheese
  Margarine
  Milk (Non-fat is ok)
Most Salad dressings (Exception: olive oil with balsamic vinegar)
Chili (Usually has flour, corn starch and/or sugar in it)
Excess Salt (it makes you retain water and swell up)

Try to Reduce…
  Non-Lean Beef
  Pork
Corn (fresh, on the cob, boiled or grilled, max 1 per week)
Beans (eliminate any sugar or corn starch or molasses or flour or oil or fatty meat/fish additions)

Increase Your Consumption of…
Green veggies (steamed, grilled or raw)
Salads (no dressing except very small amount of olive oil with balsamic vinegar)
  Chicken (never fried or breaded)
  Turkey (never fried or breaded)
  Fish (never fried or breaded)
Soup (clear, broth based, not cream based)
Fruit juice (organic, no chemicals added of any kind)
Water (drink at least a half a gallon per day, every day)

Snackables:
Raw or roasted nuts (be careful, insanely high calories)
Hummus (with celery sticks, cucumber or bell pepper slices)
  Fruit
  Sliced tomatoes
Yogurt (plain organic, no sugar or sweeteners)
Veggie juice (fresh squeezed, not V8 or other such pre-packaged consumables)

Meals:
Breakfast – 1 or 2 eggs, perhaps with some turkey bacon
Lunch – fish or chicken with a handful of veggies
Dinner – soup and/or salad, or some chicken or fish with veggies
Snacks – twice a day, evenly between meals
Bedtime Snack – Never! Don’t eat or drink anything other than water within 2 hours of bedtime, not even vitamins.

Portions: Rule-of-thumb
If the plate feels heavy when you pick it up, you’ve got way too much on it because that’s the weight you are about to put into your belly. Eat small portions; if you include snackables throughout the day then you won’t feel hungry (after about a week, which is how long it’ll take your mind to get used to eating smaller portions than you’re used to).

great legs, hot bodies, are only a matter of commitment

Exercise:
Work, kids, stress = “how the hell am I supposed to do this?!” Sure, joining a club and hiring a personal trainer is optimal. But lets face it, that’s just not realistic for most of us. So what’s the option? “Walking”. If you can run or ride a bike, then go for it. But walking, just strolling around the neighborhood at a medium pace, quite simply will burn fat and work all the muscle groups. It won’t turn you into Athena or Adonis, but it will tune your body and have you smiling at both the scale and the mirror.

What about sex as exercise? Well of course! Sex burns calories, increases endorphins and has a host of physical and psychological benefits (See our past article “The Fucking Miracle Cure”). So have sex. Often. It’s good for you. BUT, also take a 30 - 60 minute walk around your neighborhood sometime every day.

Simple Summary
If you’re on a program that’s working, then stick with it and ignore this. But if you’re like the rest of us (”normal”) then give this simple Swingers Diet a shot. Hold the line for 30 days, suffer through the sugar/carb/soda/chip/whatever withdrawals, and you’ll love what you see.

Come on now, you’ve eaten chips/pasta/bread/potatoes/rice/tortillas/fried foods and drank sodas/beer for years. Can’t you try this for just 30 days out of your entire life? Sure you can! And if it works, then you’ll have made it past the cravings and have visual reinforcement to stick with it and make it a “lifestyle” choice. And if it doesn’t work, then the cookies, pizza, ice cream, beer and French fries will be happy to have you back.

Disclaimer
Hey, the Swingers Diet is just our opinion and is what worked for us. We don’t have reams of scientific data to support it. And of course, you should ALWAYS consult your doctor before trying any new diet or exercise.

Remember: You are the only one responsible for what you see in the mirror.
