A smart, savvy and sexy personal chef, known as The Kitchen Mistress, has been rocking the culinary world of Colorado celebs, musicians and athletes for the past several years. Not long ago she came up with the idea to combine two of her favorite passions: Cooking & the Lifestyle Community.
“I wanted to create a one-of-a-kind experience that brought together sexy food and sexy people in a sexy environment,” explains the Kitchen Mistress. “I knew that people in lifestyle were exactly the type of clientele who would appreciate something like this. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find that many of the lifestyle sites I belonged to frowned upon, or even prohibited members from growing their own business within the online community. That seemed unfair to me. I mean, if swing club owners are allowed to promote their services on these sites, then why can’t a chef?… Or a photographer?… Or anyone else who has something special to offer to their peers in the lifestyle community? It was very frustrating.”
With the recent launch of Kasidie.com’s new Communities feature (which could be described as a supercharged and sexier version of MeetUp.com’s groups), this ambitious Denver chef finally saw the opportunity she was looking for. By creating and customizing her very own Kitchen Mistress’ Foodie Fetish Night Community, she managed to turn her existing Kasidie membership into a lucrative new business.
Held once a month in changing locations, Foodie Fetish Night is a gastronomic social experience for Kasidie’s most epicurean members. An all organic, four course, gourmet meal prepared by the Kitchen Mistress herself.
The open spots sold out quickly, so I felt extremely fortunate to be present at the very first Foodie Fetish Night. With a tongue-in-cheek price tag of $69 per couple, guests were treated to an experience that would be impossible to find at any restaurant. As guests arrived, they had a chance to mingle over cocktails and introduce themselves. While there is sometimes a sense of awkwardness or hesitation when meeting new couples, somehow in the impending promise of a delicious meal seemed to eliminate many of the initial shyness people tend to have. Dressed to the 9’s in a form fitting chef outfit, black tights, black boots and a whole lot of sex appeal, the Kitchen Mistress made an enormous effort to make sure that all the guests felt welcome. She somehow effortlessly managed to juggle mingling and flirting with guests while simultaneously “heating things up” in the kitchen. When the appetizers finally emerged from the kitchen, some of the guests were left wondering what they craved more, the food or the chef!
Each Foodie Fetish Night is centered around a central theme. Tonight, it was chocolate and vanilla. Served while we were still standing and socializing, the appetizer was a vanilla fried brie toast with habanero raspberry preserves and oven dried almonds brined in sea salt. Normally, it’s impossible to get a lifestyler to put down a drink… but after the initial bite, glasses were gladly set aside so that they could dive into their hors d’oeuvre with full gusto.
We took our seats for the second course; a butternut squash bisque with dark chocolate balsamic reduction beautifully drizzled atop. It was a delight to the taste buds. The theme of chocolate and vanilla was played out not only in the food, but in the black and white place settings. Though this was a BYOB event, stemware had been thoughtfully chosen to accompany the meal.
A brief respite and several enthusiastic toasts later, we were presented with our main course. A grilled filet mignon with chocolate brandy demi glace, Madagascar vanilla mashed potatoes, and Pan seared greens. Before this meal, the idea of combining vanilla and mashed potatoes would have led me to shout “You’re mad!!!” Yet somehow the balance of flavor and texture made me fall madly in love with the these creamy spuds. The pan seared greens were another surprise item that made my mouth jump with joy. At the risk of sounding dramatic, the grilled fillet mignon with hints of chocolate was probably the most phenomenal piece of meat that has ever touched my tongue. I was glad I don’t have any children, because at that moment, I would have gladly given up my first born for a second helping.
Our final course of the evening was Tahitian vanilla crème brulee and Mexican chocolate cognac pots. The men were served the “vanilla” while the women were “chocolate”. The desserts came with implicit instructions from the Mistress that we were expected to swap. Instructions we gladly followed!
While most dinners would end at dessert, The Kitchen Mistress had one more surprise in store for her guests. Pushing the tables to the side, she proceeded to give us a crash course in how to give a proper lap dance. Yes, you read that correctly… this sexy chef, who just prepared and served an amazing four course meal, then went on to teach us how to give an amazing lap dance! Are you KIDDING????
It was clear that The Kitchen Mistress knew her food as well as how to properly time the service. As one of the attendees declared: “This food gives me a boner in my stomach!”
The Kitchen Mistress presents Foodie Fetish Night every month. The February Foodie Fetish Night (which sold out less than a week after being announced) featured a menu of aphrodisiacs (photos featured below) and more than lived up to the high expectations that have been set by The Kitchen Mistress’ prior performance. Membership to the Kitchen Mistress’ Foodie Fetish Night Community continues to grow at a fevered pace as Kasidie members look forward to what she will put in their mouths next.
All I have to say is: “Thank you Mistress… May I have another?”
